The Opportunity

CACI is seeking an RF Test Technician who supports our Production Team by testing assemblies and components, performing verification and validation activities, and developing and implementing test fixtures, automated test methodologies, and data collection devices.  This position will work closely with Engineering to ensure our tests fully verify the operation of the assembled equipment.

Responsibilities:

Gather product requirements such as functionality, size, weight, power and other operating parametersDetermine how to thoroughly test and inspect electrical and electronic subassemblies, assemblies, and full systems to assure conformance to schematics and company and customer specifications; this will involve using a wide array of equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers and oscilloscopes.Develop written documents such as SOPs, testing procedures, and equipment safety rulesTroubleshoot digital and RF/mixed-signal circuit cards to the component level Perform analysis of components to diagnose probable causes of malfunctions or failures, especially where such causes may be directly traceable to the design and recommend to the Engineering Department the required changesBuild automated testing systems where applicable Fully document technical issues and solutionsPresent test records/results in numerical and graphical form to make data-driven decisionsResponsibility for managing all associated laboratory equipment for calibration and preventative maintenanceAbility to interface with all levels of internal management, as well as program sponsors and external contractors on deadlines and deliverable productsOther duties as assigned by manager.


Qualifications:

Must be a US CitizenNo clearance is required to begin employment, but you must be eligible (US Citizenship) and able to successfully be sponsored and granted a Security clearance up to TS/SCI. Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related technical field and 10+ years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experienceDirect and demonstrated experience in the design, development and debugging of RF systemsExperience with lab equipment (including but not limited to spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.)Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawingsHave a good working knowledge of digital and analog RF circuitsProgramming experience with micro-controllers, and embedded LinuxA self-starter with excellent verbal and written skillsManual dexterity to work with simple hand tools such as pliers, wire strippers, screwdrivers and soldering equipmentProgramming and troubleshooting digital control circuits along with microwave experience is preferred

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$71,500 - $150,200
