Co-Op for RF IC and Module Design

Position Summary: Join our RF design team to evaluate and characterize cutting-edge RF/microwave circuit designs for 2-8 GHz front-end ICs and modules used in wireless communication systems.

Responsibilities Conduct various design simulations (circuit, EM, and thermal) to support RF circuit development. Participate in lab measurements for characterization, debugging, and performance optimization of RF modules and ICs. Analyze test data and simulation results. Generate comprehensive test and simulation reports for the design team. Present technical findings to the team. Qualifications Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related fields. Coursework in microwave engineering and electronic circuit design is essential. Additional knowledge in integrated circuit design and semiconductor physics is preferred. Strong teamwork skills. Preferred Skills Microwave Circuit Design Expertise for amplifiers, filter, transmission lines, and matching circuits. Simulations skills with computer-aided design tools such as Keysight Advanced Design System (ADS), Cadence, and Ansys HFSS. Measurement instrument proficiency with DC and RF active and passive circuit measurement equipment (e.g., digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzer, power meter, and spectrum analyzers). Communication with clarify for complex engineering problems in a concise verbal or written report.

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
