Summary

Skyworks is seeking a Staff IC Design & simulation tapeout engineer for its Mobile Solutions (MSB) Division in Andover, MA design center. Job Description Mixed-Signal IC tapeout simulation on multiple technology tapeouts using ADS/Cadence, data displays or associated simulation engines. Run and provide verification summary from Multi-Technology Simulation (MTS), Monte Carlo and Corner analysis. Co-design PA/SOI circuits including amplifier design, bias networks, passive components including couplers and matching networks. Benchmark simulation performance of multiple project tapeouts with top-level verifications.

 

The PA RF/Analog blocks will be implemented in GaAs HBT, SiGe, or SOI technologies. The SOI RF/Analog blocks will be implemented in Silicon/SOI process with emphasis on LNA and Switches. These designs will be co-packaged with passive matching and module substrate.

Job Requirements MSEE and min. 5 years, or Ph.D. with 2 years of IC design & tapeout experience. Strong RFIC/PA/SOI RF and Analog design experience. Expertise with design simulation tools such as ADS, and/or Cadence. Expertise with MTS, Mixed-Signal simulations of multiple RF design technologies. Experience with EM simulations tools such as HFSS, Sonnet, Momentum, EMX, PEX. Strong Lab experience to perform IC/FEM characterization. Ability to manage the assigned project with minimum supervision. Team player with a strong sense of urgency to meet product requirements schedule. Excellent Oral and written communication skills.

 

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $112,500 - $215,900 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
