Job Description

The role provides critical support to the Reward Manager and team in maintaining and developing a competitive and compliant reward strategy for De Beers Group, with a particular focus on our Southern Africa colleagues. You will play a key role in data analysis, market research, and reward programme administration, ensuring our reward packages attract and retain top talent across the globe. You will support the team in driving and delivering new and innovative solutions globally and tailoring these locally where required.

Key Tasks:

Focused on Southern Africa working with globally aligned processes for:

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Collect, analyze, and interpret reward data (e.g., salaries, bonuses, benefits utilization).Prepare reports and presentations to communicate reward program effectiveness and trends.Identify and analyze market data to benchmark our compensation and benefits against industry standards.

Market Research and Benchmarking:

Conduct research to stay up-to-date on compensation and benefits trends in relevant markets.Analyze competitor reward programs and identify best practices.Support in external data provider discussions and relationship building.

Reward Program Administration:

Assist with the administration of existing reward programmes (e.g., bonus calculations).Support in the creation of reward programme communicationsSupport the development and implementation of new reward programmes.

Compliance:

Stay informed of relevant reward and benefits legislation and regulations in different Southern Africa countries.Ensure reward programmes comply with all applicable laws and regulations.Identify and escalate potential compliance risks.

Undergraduate Degree

Experience

5 years’ Experience in a Reward RoleGlobal Remuneration Professional Certificate advantageous

What you’ve done before:

Prior demonstrable experience in Reward and compensation analysis, ideally within one of the areas De Beers Group operates in within Southern Africa, or with a keen interest in these areas.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Worked in a fast-moving, demanding environment and knowledge of the principles of Reward cycles and principles within a large, global organsation.

Technical skills you’ll have or be working towards:

Highly proficient in Excel, including complex calculations, pivot tables and other techniques to manage and analyse data.Understanding of data privacy and POPI requirements when handling large, sensitive and complex data sets.Experience or an interest in developing other reporting and analysis skills such as PowerBI.Experience using the compensation modules in Success Factors is advantageous
