Duties & Responsibilities

Manages the Revenue and AR accounting team, consisting of 7+ team members at various levels of experienceLeads Revenue and AR accounting team through month end close process to review, reconcile and post adjustments to Revenue and all revenue-related balance sheet accountsDevelops, implements and updates Revenue and AR policies and procedures to maintain compliance with GAAP requirementsEstablishes and maintains strong relationships with key individuals in each of PCGs major business segments, and serves as a trusted resource for all revenue-related inquiriesReviews customer contracts for proper revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606 and PCG’s policiesAdvises business Practice Areas on the application of ASC 606 and its impact on the timing of revenue recognitionProvides ongoing education to PCG’s business teams on the details of revenue recognition under ASC 606, customer invoicing, and any other revenue-related topicsActs as main contact to external auditors for Revenue and AR related transactionsAnalyzes customer contracts for potential cost capitalization and works with project teams to identify capitalizable costsCollaborates with Finance Systems and Financial Planning & Analysis teams to develop additional functionalities and reporting capabilities within Workday FMSPrepares ad hoc reports as needed for various groups both inside and outside of Finance

Required Skills

Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP particularly in ASC 606 (including Gross vs. Net Revenue and Contract Cost Capitalization)Established history of leadership experienceAbility to effectively manage shifting priorities and manage multiple activity streamsMust maintain integrity and attention to detail at all timesExcellent organizational, verba,l and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft applications, especially ExcelProficiency in Workday FMS preferred but not requiredPossess discretion to work with confidential information

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

Experience

Previous management experience required, 7+ years of revenue accounting experience including experience with ASC 606, public experience preferred

Certification

CPA preferred but not required

As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $120,000-$140,000. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.

Compensation:

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.  As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role below.
