Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Revenue Manager in the bustling city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be immersed in the financial industry, playing a crucial part in managing and overseeing our closing process on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. You will ensure the timeliness and accuracy of this process, while also being tasked with the evaluation of new contracts and the maintenance of our financial statements. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the closing process on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring precision and punctuality • Analyze balance sheet and P & L fluctuations • Assess new contracts in accordance to revenue recognition guidelines • Maintain the accuracy of financial statements in compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal policies • Prepare and advise on the timely and accurate documentation of significant and non-routine accounting transactions and events • Research accounting guidance to recommend suitable revenue recognition policies • Evaluate contracts for complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, and implement the correct accounting for these transactions • Ensure all reporting deadlines are met and balance sheet accounts reconciliations are done accurately • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed, and supervise assigned staff and roles • Collaborate with management in various departments, such as sales, operations, vendor relations, IT, and legal as may be necessary • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure • Work with the finance and accounting team to establish goals and objectives for each year, and monitor and advise on the progress • Support with special projects and workflow process improvements, including the identification and implementation of automation where applicable • Review contracts for accurate accounting treatment and implement necessary processes to comply with contracts • Apply GTN accounting principles to revenue transactions. Requirements • Possession of a CPA or CPA Designation is mandatory. • A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in revenue management. • Proficiency in using Oracle software for financial management. • Demonstrated understanding and application of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. • Expertise in preparing and auditing Financial Statements. • Thorough knowledge of ASC 606 standards. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for managing and analyzing data. • Experience in handling Balance Sheets and their respective dynamics. • Proficiency in executing Month End Close and Month-end Close Activities. • Experience in managing Year End Closings, Year-end Audits, and preparing Year-end Financial Statements. • Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
