As a Revenue Accountant, you will be expected to act as a consultative partner to executives in sales to drive revenue by identifying areas of opportunity and risk using strong analytics skills. Key responsibilities include forecasting and reporting revenue results analysis of key revenue performance metrics, fulfillment of ad hoc analytics requests and collaboration with management to make thoughtful recommendations and create action plans. This position requires adherence to deadlines, organizational skills, and accurate account coding.
Essential Functions:
• Conduct regular business reviews with key sales stakeholders to help the team focus on incremental revenue opportunity.
• Assist in preparation of revenue targets and specific account planning.
• Support the development of and rationale for monthly and quarterly revenue forecasts Identify opportunities to improve current reporting formats, processes, and systems
• Manage accurate and timely revenue close for billing & recognition.
• Responsible for maintaining documentation to support orders and revenues booked, according to company & audit standards.
• Maintain billing system to generate invoices according to client requirements and address invoicing issues.
• Assist with other duties in accounting department.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree + Master’s Degree or MBA Finance in Finance or Accounting or equivalent work experience
• 1-3 years relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience with GAAP and Revenue Recognition Policies
• Proficiency in Excel
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills who can dissect complex issues and make thoughtful recommendations and action plans.
• Proven ability to persuade, build consensus and work on a collaborative team basis with all levels of management, internally and externally.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills including the ability to present results of complex analyses clearly.
• Excellent organizational, time and people management skills and the ability to collaborate in groups and work independently.
• Exceptional ability to creatively problem-solve and influence decision making.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience working with Salesforce data, SAP, PeopleSoft and Oracle and Advanced Excel, Powerpoint
