Description We are collaborating with a prominent digital marketing agency in San Diego to identify a proficient Revenue Accountant. This contract-to-permanent position is ideal for an accounting professional experienced in managing diverse billing structures, ensuring precise revenue recognition, and fostering effective cross-departmental communication within a dynamic, client-centric environment. The role is a hybrid position, with a flexible work schedule. Key Responsibilities + Billing Management: Handle diverse billing structures, including Time & Material, Percent Complete, and Retainer models. + Revenue Recognition: Ensure compliance with accounting standards for accurate revenue reporting. + Cash Flow Oversight: Monitor incoming payments, post transactions promptly, and manage invoice processing. + Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business managers, project teams, and controllers to align on project setups and billing timelines. + Vendor Relations & Collections: Manage vendor interactions and implement soft collection strategies to maintain healthy cash flow. + Discrepancy Resolution: Identify and resolve issues such as unposted invoices or payment delays. + Reporting: Generate and analyze aging reports, providing insights into invoice statuses and addressing Net-30 payment challenges. + Process Improvement: Maintain a streamlined workflow with no backlog, staying current with billing activities. + Software Utilization: Leverage Sage Intacct for daily accounting tasks and financial reporting. Requirements Experience: Previous experience in revenue accounting Technical Skills: Proficiency in Sage Intacct or similar accounting software.​ Analytical Aptitude: Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.​ Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a talent for collaborative teamwork.​ Adaptability: Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
