Yellowstone Retail is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and passionate employee to lead, train, and support our retail teams across eleven retail outlets throughout the park. We don't sell souvenirs, we sell memories! Job Summary: This role focuses on leading a training team to enhance guest service and achieve retail goals through engaging training programs that reflect Legendary Hospitality. Key responsibilities include assessing training needs, developing content, coaching managers, and facilitating sessions, while ensuring consistency and motivating a diverse team through organizational changes. The Details: Position Type: Seasonal Season Dates: March 2025 - October 2025 Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why Yellowstone National Park? Responsibilities Align all duties with company goals, emphasizing guest service excellence and incorporating Legendary Hospitality into training programs Manage and direct the training team to achieve retail-specific goals, working closely with Retail Support to identify training needs Ensure consistent, engaging training content and delivery methods that promote learning transfer to the workplace Develop, update, and facilitate training programs for various roles, including leadership and seasonal personnel, based on data and feedback Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the specialty area, transitioning from training to facilitation and understanding the difference Model professional behavior, coach others to meet company expectations, and inspire diverse teams to reach project goals Serve as a resource for field managers on procedures, standards, and company-wide policies, assisting with supervision and evaluation of field trainers Maintain and update training materials, coordinate training schedules and venues, and handle special projects as assigned Qualifications Valid driver’s license and safe driving recorded required Effective interpersonal skills Ability to follow instructions and count accurately Effective organizational skills Business writing skills Effective teaching and public speaking skills Knowledge of computer programs; Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, L3, Mi9, and Kronos Knowledge of Company and Department policies and procedures Overnight and in-park travel required Responsibilities, skills, and knowledge from Training Specialist job description Physical Requirements include: Lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds throughout the day Standing for long periods of time Frequent walking up and down stairs Speaking clearly in front of large audiences for several hours Sitting and typing at a computer for extended periods of time We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
