Job Description:
The position is responsible for preparing products for shipment by ensuring they are properly packed, labeled, scanned, and organized according to customer specifics. They will work to meet the daily requested schedules while maintaining quality and safety requirements.
Job Duties
Process orders for customers in an efficient manner.
Process Domestic and International orders for Small Package, less than truckload, Truckload, and Ocean Containers.
Pick and Pack orders using handheld Scan Gun.
Knowledge of International shipping requirements (Heat Treated Pallets, Blocking and Bracing Containers, document pick tickets, HazMat, etc.)
Inspect products for defects or damage before and after packing to ensure they meet quality standards.
Rework projects as needed.
Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
1 to 3 years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Read and write English clearly.
Experience with the operation of high lift, forklift, Ride-Along lift
HazMat experience a plus.
Employees must work well under pressure while meeting multiple tasks or competing deadlines.
Teamwork, encouragement, and support for all departments is a requirement of the position.
Cleanliness and organization are also a requirement for the position.
Able to work independently, be dependable and adapt to changes in systems and procedures.
Should be an initiative-taking individual.
Flexibility is expected. Employees may be asked to work overtime after hours or on weekends as needed.
