Retail Distribution Center Supervisor

Summary

As a Distribution Center Product Technician Supervisor, is to oversee and manage the daily operations of a workshop. This role involves supervising a team of technicians, ensuring they complete tasks efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards. The supervisor coordinates work schedules, provides technical guidance, monitors performance, and ensures that all maintenance, repairs, or fabrication work is completed on time and to specification. Additionally, the Shop Technician Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining a productive and safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices.

Primary Job Functions

This section describes the primary /essential responsibilities that this job performs.

· Direct and supervise a team of technicians, assigning tasks and ensuring work is completed on time and to required standards.

· Provide training and development opportunities to improve team skills and performance.

· Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

· Plan, prioritize, and schedule daily work assignments to ensure timely completion of projects.

· Monitor workflow, ensuring that work is progressing as planned, and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines.

· Ensure all work meets the company’s quality standards and client specifications through use of company software “product Quality” “High Jump”

· Review operating goals and standards on a daily basis and monitor achievement, while still following all Standard Operating Procedures

· Inspect completed work for accuracy, thoroughness, and quality

· Ensure that all tools, equipment, and machinery are well-maintained, sustained and in proper working condition

· Record necessary details regarding customer claims, including customer information, issue description, and any supporting documentation or evidence (e.g., receipts, photos).

· Enforce safety policies and ensure that all work is conducted in compliance with health and safety regulations.

· Process and facilitate returns, exchanges, or repairs for defective or unsatisfactory products.

· Promote a culture of safety in the shop, providing guidance on safe work practices and addressing potential hazards.

· Monitor individual and team performance with PPH standards, providing feedback, coaching, and guidance as necessary.

· Oversee the inventory of parts, tools, and supplies, ensuring that items are available when needed

· Implement best practices to enhance shop productivity and reduce downtime.

· Performs minor repair on top of surface of case pieces and tables.

Job Qualifications

· Education: High School Education or equivalent

· Experience: 2-3 Years

· Licenses or Certifications None
