As a Retail Distribution Center Driver, you will play a vital role in supporting the behind-the-scenes functions that keep the retail department running smoothly on a day-to-day basis. Job Summary: This role involves loading and unloading box trucks for deliveries to and from the retail distribution center and retail stores while ensuring the security of documents and goods. Responsibilities also include coordinating truck maintenance, completing safety training, and adhering to environmental management practices. The role emphasizes safe work habits and immediate reporting of any unsafe conditions. Responsibilities Responsible for all duties of Distribution Center Help position Loading and unloading box truck(s) in conjunction with deliveries between the distribution center and retail stores Maintain control and security of documents, box counts, and all goods associated with deliveries and returns to and from retail stores Make deliveries and returns of retail goods between the Distribution Center and each store's secured location or stockroom Coordinate truck maintenance with Gardiner Service Center and complete required vehicle inspection reports Practice safe work habits in an industrial type of work environment by complying with all safety requirements. Notify a supervisor immediately if an unsafe work condition or practice is observed Successfully complete all required safety training Comply with Xanterra’s Environmental Management Systems (Ecologix) and look for ways to improve the impact your job has on the environment Qualifications Must be 21 years of age and posses a valid driver's license and a clean driving record Demonstrate safe operation of truck while driving to retail locations park-wide with regard for seasonal road conditions, park traffic, park regulations, and park wildlife, including backing up to loading dock areas; give attention to necessary vehicle maintenance When not making deliveries, is able to perform all duties of the Distribution Center Help position; including but not limited to: receiving, pricing, distribution and inventory control Able to cooperate with gift shop managers and staff in handling merchandise deliveries and returns/pickups of all retail goods Understand correct packing and loading procedures while giving special attention to fragile merchandise, in order to ensure safe arrival of items on delivery General understanding of Yellowstone retail operations Experience with two wheeled hand trucks, pallet jacks, and electric pallet lifts/movers helpful Able to work with a minimum amount of supervision; excellent attendance and punctuality is critical Physical Requirements include: Must possess or be able to pass a DOT Physical Must be able to maintain a high level of physical activity while moving boxes weighing up to 80 pounds by hand, climbing in and out of trucks, up and down stairs; at and around the various retail locations throughout the park Walk or stand on a concrete surface for a minimum eight-hour shift Must be able to frequently bend down or kneel to stock product during a shift Must be able to frequently move up and down ladders to put away and pull stock during a shift We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
