Our client is searching for a Cluster Manager for their retail stores The successful candidate would be one who ideally has multiple store management experience as well as senior store management/ store management experience at a leading highend retail chain or brand
Duties and Responsibilities
Maximize sales in stores and control expenses
Stock control and frequent stock takes in line with policies and procedures
Assisting in scheduling and assigning employees by providing insight to head office as to operational requirements
Ensuring store is appropriately merchandised by informing head office if inventory allocations are not sufficient
Maintain store staff through recruitment training and assistance in all manners
Maintain store staff results by coaching counseling and disciplining employees planning monitoring and appraising job results
Assist retail operations team in annual budget for store by providing insight as to expenditures analysis of variances
Initiate corrective actions in store operations when budget vs actual variances have been evaluated
Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements
Ensure availability of merchandise and services by approving contracts maintaining inventories
Secure merchandise by monitoring security systems and measures
Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment
Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements
Set up effective marketing displays for the sales floor and store windows
Manage all controllable costs to keep operations profitable
Analyze sales figures and forecast future sales
Analyze and interpret trends to facilitate planning
Respond to customer complaints and comments
Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing
Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Any other duties as and when may be required by Supervisor
Requirements
Multiple store management experience
3 to 5 years experience senior store management/ store management experience at a leading highend retail chain or brand
Must have experience leading a teams of 5 individuals for more than 5 years
Solid homeware retail product experience
Visual merchandising experience
Matric
Business Qualification would be advantageous
Must have a valid drivers license
Must be able to travel between stores on a daily basis
Must have own transport
Able to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
Able to maintain regular consistent and punctual attendance High energy levels and focus
