Retail Business Partner (Consultative Sales) – Boroughs of New York/Long Island Territory Join a high performing sales team and drive growth for Do it Best in the Boroughs of New York and Long Island. We are a dynamic team committed to driving aggressive growth as the largest nationally branded hardware cooperative that celebrates independent members/store owners. Provides focused retail operational consulting while developing pro-active partnerships in your assigned territory (Boroughs of New York and Long Island - Mineola, Westbury, Massapequa, Jerico, and Farmingdale, New York) to become the members "Trusted Partner" in all aspects of their business. Increases the Company sales and member’s retail sales and profitability. Partners with Members to assess business needs, develops agreed upon solutions and creates action plans to ensure mutual goals are achieved. The Retail Business Partner can live in the following cities and/or surrounding areas - Mineola, Westbury, Massapequa, Jerico, and Farmingdale, New York. Responsibilities: (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned). 1. Grows Do it Best’s sales within their assigned territories. 2. Guides Members on why and how to achieve retail excellence which includes improvement in gross margin, cash flow, expense management, return on investment, customer service, brand management, merchandise mix, planograms, labor optimization, store experience and inventory management. (60% of the time) 3. Crafts tailored solutions that address the members’ challenges, positioning yourself as a trusted partner. 4. Collaborates with multi-dimensional teams to ensure seamless implementation of solutions and member satisfaction. (20% of the time) 5. Continuously analyzes market trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for sales growth and develop strategies to capitalize on them. 6. Partners with New Business Team to grow the number of store locations. 7. Works with new and existing members and Implementation Team to refresh stores to increase efficiency and profitability. (20%) Education & Experience: · Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with members and internal stakeholders · Proven track record of consultative selling and solution-oriented approach · Strong financial acumen with the ability to understand and articulate financial concepts · Results-driven mindset with a passion for achieving exceptional member experience and exceeding sales targets · Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with effective time management skills · Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience · Strong skills to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Travel: Average 1-2 days of travel weekly to various member retail stores.
