Analyst, Retail, Capital Markets
JLL is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join the Investment Sales Advisory Team within JLL Capital Markets as an Analyst. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing strategic real estate solutions to clients, conducting market research, and assisting in financial analysis. This Analyst role will concentrate on the sales of retail opportunities with critical involvement in every stage of a transaction, including financial underwriting, preparation of client proposals and offering memorandums, market research, due diligence and closing. Will work in a high-energy, team-focused environment.
Main Responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify retail investment opportunities and market trends.Prepare financial models, valuations, and feasibility studies for retail properties.Prepare pitch decks ("BOVs"), investment sales advisory packages and submissions for retail real estate transactions, including research, financial modeling and composition of executive summaries.Collaborate with the Capital Markets team to develop comprehensive client presentations, investment proposals, and client packages for retail assets. Develop and recommend financing alternatives to present to the Producer.Assist in the due diligence process and be the driving force in working through the marketing and closing processes for each retail transaction, and be in constant communication with the Producer, the market and the Client.Stay informed about retail industry developments, regulations, and market conditions to provide up-to-date insights and recommendations to clients and team members.Participate in weekly office meetings with Producers to discuss retail deal flow, deal status, market conditions and review new client leads.Assist in maintaining a database of targeted retail property ownership and recent retail property sales.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, or a related field is preferred.Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling using Excel and Argus.Ability to be an independent worker with a team player attitude.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.Knowledge of capital markets and retail real estate investment principles. Must understand retail real estate documents (leases, loan documents, appraisals, etc.)Strong writing skills with ability to communicate analytical and marketing data effectively.Experience:
1-3 years of previous experience in a financial analyst role, preferably within the retail real estate or capital markets industry.Intermediate experience with Excel and Argus preferred.Environment
This is an in-office role in Downtown Denver, Colorado.Estimated total compensation for this position:
60,000.00 – 95,000.00 USD per yearThe total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
