About the location:

Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens opened in March 2019 and provides a preferred address for both business and leisure travelers, and the highly personalized, anticipatory service that Four Seasons guests expect and value around the world. The Arion Hotel was built in 1967 and has 106 keys and 61 Bungalows, and the Nafsika opened in 1980 and has 136 keys. Under the same ownership is a large private beach club and marina. Nafsika is open through the year, while Arion and the bungalows operate eight months of the year. Adding to the complement of on-site F&B operations (8 Restaurants and Bars), there are also two third party restaurants on site.

Summary

The Restaurant and Bar Marketing Manager sets and executes the media / marketing strategy for the restaurant and bar. 

In conjugation with the Director of F&B, Director of Marketing, and the Hotel Manager, the Restaurant and Bar Marketing Manager plays an integral role in the development and execution of the annual strategic marketing plan comprised of public relations, social media, and marketing communications strategies that support the business objectives. Through strategic thinking and execution, increase awareness and visibility of the outlets and its food and beverage offerings and team, the Restaurant & Bar Marketing Manager also contributes to driving traffic and revenues.

Simultaneously, the Restaurant and Bar Marketing Manager acts as a ‘guardian’ of the conceptual and visual identity of the relevant outlets.

Product Function

Executes all key Restaurant and Bar Marketing initiatives as defined below:

Rollout & Sustainment of F&B Commercial Initiatives

Rollout property initiatives to ensure adoption and success

Drive GARP SKUs for F&B

Coordination of R&B participation in corporate global campaigns

LOB Expert

Develops annual R&B marketing strategy and action plan (per FS Guidelines), co-develop and execute business goals 

Design and implement innovative programs that increase awareness of R&B, its offerings and dynamic team

Support review of outlet positioning, marketing plans, promotional calendars and KPI tracking

Leads monthly F&B Marketing Meeting

Digital Marketing

Liase with Digital Marketing team on R&B’s digital strategy and ensure marketing funds are distributed accordingly.

Work in conjunction with Social Media team on R&B's social strategy to ensure creation of content for all F&B social media accounts including ideas, execution, agency management, scheduling.

Lead creatives and briefing of campaigns & strategy with Social Media team for R&B social media channels

PR

Liase with PR team to ensure proprietary R&B websites are aligned with the R&B’s positioning and business objectives and creative storytelling

Oversee R&B online reputation management by monitoring and ensuring appropriate management of third-party review sites

Lead creation of Press Releases (brief to copywriters) for PR agencies

Liase with the PR team to plan, develop the public relations strategy for the F&B outlets, such as management and follow-up with PR agency, organizing events, one-on-one interviews with media, KOL’s and key accounts that are potential for the F&B outlets. (Luxury accounts, F&B etc)

Brand/Creative

Supervise the overall storytelling and communication strategy for the culinary and social segment: website, online platforms, collateral marketing

Lead and oversees any R&B related photo- and videoshoots to ensure all R&B visual assets are in line with the FS brand standards

Maintains Hotel’s image library and video banks with related R&B content, and obtain all signed usage rights as needed

Develop and preserves brand, visual identity and concept in all elements of the marketing process

Project manage each collateral item, including the negotiation of costs, a production timeline and the editing of each draft, and ensure final artwork is signed off by all required signees, prior to distribution

Network Support

Develop F&B Marketing Critical Path for new outlets openings

Promotions and Activations

Idle Spaces

Lead and executes the initiatives of Idle Space Pop Ups

Lead outside catering F&B Marketing

Beverage Activations

Develop marketing toolkit for Beverage Activations (Avra)

Lead Activations (Tales of Cocktail, 50 Best Bars, Bar Shows, etc).

Partnership Activations

Create culinary and social experiences such as seasonal events and happenings to foster revenue opportunities through customer insights and with F&B team.

Build and maintain a close relationship with events intermediaries, organizing happenings that lead to strategic alliances and sales opportunities.
Develop partnership/ sponsorship opportunities

Lead marketing planning for partnerships for outlets with key luxury brands.

Lead Events organization in/out of the hotel together with Catering/F&B Team.

Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal (coaching, coordinating) skills, required to support a diverse team of employees, consultants and agencies on a daily basis.

Able to achieve under pressure - multiple tasks and time constraints. 

Excellent project management skills - able to conceive and implement projects from start to finish, manage processes and expectations, and build commitment to deadlines, both individually or in a matrix structure with multiple managers and indirect stakeholders.

Pro-active and inquisitive mind set to develop problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution and strategic thinking skills.

Understands R&B marketplace; well-informed of market trends and user behaviors, including leading marketing strategies unique to this category and evaluating the competition’s marketing communications activities and implements change as dictated by market requirements.

Well-organized, able to set priorities and be detail-oriented. 

Is an ambassador of the Restaurant and Bar at all times, both inside and out into the community.

Excellent writing, presentation and communications skills, with a strong sense of quality and a creative mind set.

Photography skills and an eye for aesthetic.

Media relations experience.

Demonstrated knowledge of mobile, emerging and social media applications.

Knowledge of production methods in graphic arts and collateral.

Computer savvy with Microsoft Office and various design programs.
