Job Description

Assist Server in providing an exceptional experience to our guests and assist in all aspects of breakfast and lunch service. Maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas and equipment.  Restocking the service areas with condiments, plates, glasses, and other items needed to ensure smooth running of the dining room.

Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceAssist servers with food delivery, clearing tables, and setting up tablesAssisting guests with queriesAttend to buffet itemsReplenish items and guest amenitiesRestock and maintain inventory levels of all productsEnsure overall cleanliness of the restaurant at all timesFollow restaurant policies, procedures and service standardsHave full knowledge of beverage lists, promotions, menu items, contents, and preparation methodsFollow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beveragesMay have to assist In-Room Dining team Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.  Use equipment only as intended.Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.Maintain positive guest relations at all times.Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificatePrevious experience in food service industry an assetPrevious experience as busser/server’s assistant in luxury setting an assetExcellent communication and organizational skills in EnglishStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableFood handler & TABC certifications requiredCertification in CPR an assetAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, and without supervisionAbility to multi task and work cohesively as part of a teamAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
