Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced AM Restaurant Server to join our team at The Fat Rooster. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a deep knowledge of food and beverage service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service by demonstrating thorough knowledge of our food and beverage menu.
- Suggestively sell menu items to enhance the dining experience and maximize sales.
- Maintain your assigned section, ensuring guests are attended to promptly and efficiently.
- Answer guest questions, providing information about the menu, specials, and the restaurant.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOP) for the sequence of services.
- Follow accurate cash handling and room charge procedures.
- Verify any dietary restrictions and ensure guest needs are met.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain an inventory of needed supplies and ensure the restaurant is stocked and ready for service.
- Ensure all menus are clean and presentable at all times.
- Be knowledgeable about hotel facilities, their locations, and hours of operation.
Qualifications:
- Education: Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of restaurant service work experience required.
- Communication: Excellent hospitality skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Technical Skills: Ability to answer phones, handle cash transactions, and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Customer Service: Strong focus on guest satisfaction and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Guidelines:
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, typically 6-8 hours per shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity required to serve food and beverages, operate equipment, and perform cleaning tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent movement.
Work Hours:
- Shift: 5:30 AM - 2:30 PM
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
