Job Summary: Oversees all aspects of dining room operations, including staff scheduling, guest service, and quality control, while collaborating closely with the F&B Manager and BOH Leadership Team. The Details: Position Type: Seasonal Season Dates: May through October 2025 (exact dates vary by location) Pay: Starting at $1,848.00 bi-weekly (subject to change for 2025) Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Why Glacier National Park? Be on the floor 100% of the time during a meal service period to observe, monitor and follow up on all areas of the Dining Room operation on a daily basis. Anticipate and respond to any Guest Recovery efforts. Integrate and collaborate with the F&B Manager and BOH Leadership Team to grow a dynamic, challenging and trusting work place environment. Daily usage of the Kronos system to review, approve, and evaluate labor and payroll. Work with entire BOH Leadership Team in maintaining high standards of food presentation and sanitation. Train and develop all FOH Dining Room personnel within defined company standards. Utilize the Could Suite system to provide FOH assigned warehouse and supplier products. Provide on-going feedback and evaluations to service personnel concerning all aspects of the Dining Room operation. Assist in controlling food and labor costs by consistent action and communication with other members of the F&B Leadership Team and all food and beverage staff members. Provide appropriate courses of action to correct any issues. Motivate and coach all staff members to maximize sales and guest satisfaction by utilizing menu knowledge and suggestive selling techniques. Follow Company, NPS and departmental environmental practices, safety practices, and policies and procedures. Engage and integrate with all members of the Food & Beverage Leadership Team to promote and utilize the F&B Division Ten Commandments. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Possess a working knowledge of all departments’ positions and equipment used within the F&B operation. These areas include mixology, professional wine service, proper beer presentation, equipment and process checklists, scheduling and staff communication, and specific meal-period team leadership. Ability to teach and motivate team and collaborate with entire F&B Leadership Team to accomplish goals of providing excellent guest service in an efficient manner. Must be able to remain calm in a high stress environment while motivating and fostering a positive work environment. Certification in the TIPS alcohol awareness program is required; workshops will be provided if not currently certified. Physical Requirements include: Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds. Frequent lifting and carrying of supplies, materials, and equipment throughout the day. Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods of time. Working safely with required chemicals.
