Position OverviewThe purpose of this position is to provide consultation for the facility. The Registered Respiratory Therapist shall provide the services of a qualified therapeutic respiratory technician. The sole responsibility of the Registered Respiratory Therapist shall be to provide guidance and counsel to the facilities respiratory services program.
Essential Job Functions Provide consultation to the administration and staff regarding planning, policy, development and priority setting based on initial and on-going evaluations of the respiratory service needsProvide respiratory therapy consultation to any patient in the facility in accordance with physician’s ordersCounsel the patient, staff and family with regards to the patient’s respiratory therapy needsMake appropriate referrals for continuing respiratory careReview sanitation in accordance with current standardsReview and test the equipment on a monthly basis; specifically the VentilatorProvide education to Physicians and staff on all equipment, modalities and treatments. Other Job Functions Travel to all facility locations as requiredAttend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as requiredMaintain compliance with policy and procedure reviews and Healthstream assignmentsPerform additional duties as assigned Basic Qualifications Certified Respiratory Therapist by the state in which practicing, required Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist by the State, requiredCurrent BLS certification through the American Heart Association, requiredBachelor’s Degree, preferred3+ years of Respiratory Therapist experience, requiredCritical Care or ER experience, preferredExperience writing policies and procedures, preferredExperience with DNV Certification, preferredPosition require fluency in English; written and oral communication Options Apply for this job onlineApplyShareRefer this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
