Respiratory Therapist

Come join our Respiratory Therapists at the Monticello Hospital in providing quality care from first breath to last breath and for every breath in between. As part of a diverse and dynamic team, you will deliver personalized and compassionate care in Central Minnesota.  This position offers you the opportunity to treat a wide range of patients, from premature infants to centenarians.

Schedule: 

60 hours every two weeks Various 12-hour shifts from 6:45am-7:15am and 6:45pm -7:15am during the week Every other weekend 6:45pm-7:15pm Rotating holidays

Pay and Benefits:

Starting pay begins at $ at $35.13 per hour and increases with experience. Pay Range: $35.13 - $50.88 per hour Benefits eligible: Medical, dental, vacation, retirement, employee discounts and more!  This position qualifies for student loan repayment of up to $7,500 or a hiring bonus of up to $6,000, plus $5,000 in relocation assistance for eligible candidates.

Here are some of the responsibilities of this role:

Complete vent management, transport, conscious sedations, and blood gas analysis. Ability to share input and discuss orders with providers to meet patient needs. Support Inpatient, Emergency, Obstetrics, and ICU with respiratory needs.

Qualifications:

Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) in the State of MN Board of Medical Practice Respiratory Therapist Registry. Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required per established policy, can be obtained upon hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) ACLS Certification prior to practicing independently post orientation. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRT) Current NRP certification obtained prior to working independently with newborns or before completion of orientation; within 6 months.

25-bed critical access hospital including Birthing Center, Medical/Surgical Unit, Pediatrics, and ICU 10-bed Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit. Extensive Outpatient Services: Level IV Emergency Department with ambulance service, Heart Care, Surgical Services, Sleep Center, Diabetes & Nutrition Education, Integrated Behavioral Health, Vascular Care, and Wound Care. Full Imaging, Laboratory Services, and Respiratory Therapy.
