Visit dignityhealth.org/northridgehospital for more information. **Respiratory Care Practitioner (NICU)– Respiratory Therapy** **Northridge Hospital Medical Center** Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. As a Respiratory Care Practitioner in our NICU, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive respiratory care to our tiniest patients, ensuring their optimal health and well-being. **Our Benefits:** + Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. + Opportunities for professional growth and continuing education. + Access to cutting-edge medical resources and technology. + Supportive and collaborative work environment. + Paid time off and holiday benefits. **Responsibilities** + Evaluates patients. + Maintains all required patient and department records. + Maintains and evaluates proper functioning of equipment when required. + Responsible for obtaining written physician orders about respiratory care. + Responsible for organizing and planning daily work assignments and notifying shift charge therapists of problems and missed procedures. + Maintains professional knowledge of current respiratory care practice and department policy and procedures. + Responsible to practice job duties in accordance with department /Medical Center policy and procedure and the Respiratory Care Standards of Practice. + The NICU RCP functions as the primary NICU therapist. **Qualifications** + High School graduate or equivalent required. + Must have minimum of 1 year critical care experience in respiratory critical care experience in respiratory therapy or minimum 2 years’ experience in a level 2 or greater with competency in neonatal and newborn delivery intubation. + Must be an NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist with a minimum of two years working experience as an RCP in NICU. + Current State of California Respiratory Care Practitioner license required. + Current certification in specialty area as required. + Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) required. + Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (AHA PALS) required. + Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required. + Must maintain current Fire Safety card required **This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.** **Pay Range** $47.40 - $57.73 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
