The Resort Host is a unique position in which the host is responsible for front desk, bell service, and concierge duties. This person will be the first impression to our guests and will provide a unique and memorable check-in experience. The Resort Host will also be the primary point of contact to respond to any guest needs or requests during their stay.

What you have

· High school diploma, equivalent, or higher

· Previous hospitality experience in a hotel or resort setting

· Excellent customer service and guest relation skills

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

· Ability to use technology, e.g., tablets, iPads, computers

· Front Desk or customer service experience

· Organization skills to operate in an efficient manner

· Ability to take initiative and handle all assignments

· Sense of ownership in everything that you do

What you’ll do

· Assist resort guests with arrival and departure, including check in and out procedures, luggage assistance, and escorting guests to and from their rooms

· Act as point of contact for any guest requests or needs, and fulfill those needs; including but not limited to errands, travel arrangements, and dining reservations

· Share knowledge with guests of events, spaces, and features of the resort

· Maintain cleanliness and appearance of work area

· Respond to guest amenity requests in a timely manner, including pre arrival requests

· Provide information on local areas of interest for shopping, dining, night life, and recreation

· Interact with all resort guests in a warm and friendly manner

· Report any suspicious activity, behavior, or unusual items to manager on duty

· Assist with receiving, organizing, and stocking department and resort supplies

· Other necessary duties as reasonably assigned by manager

Physical Demand

· Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time

· Ability to bend

· Ability to lift, pull 50 lbs

· Ability to communicate clearly

· Ability to work long hours as needed

· Work on multiple tasks, making appropriate progress towards deadlines

· Able to work independently, take direction, and provide direction to others

· Manage differing personalities within the property, the resort, and the community

· Ability to effectively handle challenges in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
