Overview Leads and directs the work of subordinates engaged in maintaining harmonious relations and discipline among residents in group-living situations. Scheduling staff to provide quality coverage and services for clients. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university in education, counseling, psychology, social work, alcohol, and substance abuse counseling, or a mental health-related field. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT At least five (5) years of experience in a related field is required. COMPUTER SKILLS An individual should know Human Resource systems, Payroll systems, and Word Processing software. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must be certified in CPR/First Aid and maintain throughout employment. CPR may be obtained during orientation. Current Food Handler Permit required. Residential Child and Youth Care Professional Training (RCYCP) certification required.Mandt System Trainer certification required. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Must meet and maintain periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care. Educated on and compliant with HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of client information. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands or arms. The employee may occasionally be required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to correct/adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT The employee may occasionally be exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather related); work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places; outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold (non-weather related); and extreme heat (non-weather related). The sound level in the work environment is usually moderate.
