About the Role:

The Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale is looking for a Residential Assistant Director of Finance! This role is responsible for overseeing the day to day financial operations for the Residence Club. In addition to preparing annual and quarterly assessments, this role is responsible for month end reporting and commentary, forecasting and managing ongoing billing for both the resort, club and developer.

Job duties will include but are not limited to:  

Processes intercompany receivables and payables.

Ensure timely funding of reserves.

Maintains proper billing and collection efforts of assessments in accordance with local and corporate policies and procedures.  

Processes, control, and issue prompt and accurate billing and collection of all assessments items to maintain the lowest possible outstanding accounts at all times.  

Escalates collection concerns and provide Director of Residence AR aging, ensure applicable delinquency policy is consistently applied and followed.

Forecasting of residential revenues and month end reporting.

Adhere to the rules and regulation of the property’s governing documents

Maintain harmonious and professional relationship with all departments and Home Office.

Comply with and enforce Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.

Maintain the effectiveness of internal controls to safeguard the assets and resources of the property.

Actively support other department managers with matters dealing with labor standards, payroll, and other issues that may arise.

Direct and supervise the efforts, quality, and timeliness of all aspects of payroll, accounts payable, income audit, or other areas as directed by the Director of Finance and Regional/ Director of Finance.

Understand and possess a working knowledge of the Accounting & Finance Manual

Good understanding of Month-End Process, including but not limited to preparation of financial statements, accruals, and journal entries, maintain reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts in established corporate formats and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principals.

Prepare all budgets and forecasts.

Be familiar with and understand the applicable CCR's and management agreements.

Prepare and coordinate the monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts and all bank reconciliations, ensuring all outstanding reconciling items are investigated and resolved satisfactorily.

Prepare monthly forecast reflecting updated business expectations for the residence club.

Generate monthly and quarterly commentary regarding financial results.

Participate in quarterly board meetings.

Perform all daily, monthly, and other periodic accounting and financial reporting in an accurate and timely nature.

Be familiar with the program of records control, security, retention and disposal in accordance with hotel policy and procedures.

Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Director of Finance.

Have the ability to direct the efforts, quality and timeliness of all aspects of the general ledger, accounts payable and income audit.

Excellent understanding of Month-End Process including, but not limited to, preparation of financial statements, accruals and journal entries, maintain reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts in established corporate formats and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principals. 

Great attention to detail along with a continuous innovation of daily working of the Finance team under the direction of the Director of Finance. 

Excellent communication skills – written and verbal 

University degree – major in accounting or finance preferred 

Three to five years of experience in the related position with Four Seasons or other organization.
