Diagnostic Imaging Residency at Davies Veterinary Specialists
Salary: £39,100 per annum
Location: Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire border
Job Type: 3 year fixed term
We have the opportunity to appoint a Diagnostic Imaging resident to be part of a team of three Imaging residents to undertake our established ECVDI-approved residency program. You will be trained and work within our friendly and dynamic Diagnostic Imaging team. The team manages a range of complex cases from the internal medicine, cardiology, ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedic, neurology, dentistry and dermatology services. We work closely with a specialist led anaesthesia team, and have highly skilled nursing and support teams.
Our imaging facilities and equipment have undergone extensive improvement and modernisation over the past few years and now include: Siemens Magnetom Sempra 1.5T MRI, Siemens Somatom go.All 64-slice CT, Fujifilm computed radiography, Samsung RS80 Evo and RS85A US, Philips Zenition 50 C-Arm, and Fuji Synapse 7 PACS system. Out-of-hours cover is based on a shared rota with other clinicians assuring a healthy work-life balance.
Requirements for entry into the residency programme are as follows:
- You will need to have completed a multi-disciplinary 12 month rotating small animal internship and/or a Diagnostic Imaging specific internship, or have worked in a high quality small animal first opinion practice for a minimum of 2 years.
- You must be highly self-motivated and be able to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and clients.
- You must hold a veterinary degree approved by the European Association of Veterinary Education Establishments (EAVEE).
- You must be, or be eligible to be, a member of the RCVS.
- You must have good spoken and written English.
