Integrity Engineer, Reservoir Engineering, provides technical and functional expertise for executing Southern Company Gas’s Storage Integrity Management Programs (SIMP). This is achieved through detailed analysis and prudent evaluation of existing reservoir, well, and related asset records and physical attributes for all 8 Nicor UGS assets based on codes, standards, and practices established by PHMSA, IDNR, the Company, and Industry. The role requires significant coordination with Reservoir Engineering and Storage Operations as well as intense documentation and compliance activities.
Functional Expertise:
Develop and evaluate technical procedures, mitigation measures, and remedial designs by interacting with staff and performing quality reviews to ensure routines meet PHMSA, State, and Company standards Maintain organization of detailed historical and new records pertaining to storage system integrity Functional knowledge of API RP 1171 and compliance related activities required to meet them Develop, monitor, and continuously update Integrity Risk Matrices/Models Utilize data such as well workover history, corrosion log data, reservoir analysis, and works with team to determine operational risks on the system and ways to mitigate those risks to optimize safety, reliability and efficient system operations Perform the initial engineering analysis, modeling, design, and costing of subsurface remedial work related to integrity compliance Knowledge of reservoir engineering and production operations

Related Work Experience:
Required:
2+ years progressive experience in Gas Operations, Underground Storage Engineering and Operations, and Engineering Knowledge of pipeline and underground storage safety policies, procedures, codes and standardsPreferred:
3+ years underground storage engineering and operations, reservoir/production engineering in aquifer and/or depleted storage assets Demonstrated knowledge of pipeline and underground storage safety policies, procedures, codes and standards Experience in compliance and gas storage system operations
