This Researcher position is for membrane production and development in Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA, and will be responsible for coordinating the research team and production for various resources and help to produce, test and analyse new membrane products through our
new product introduction (NPI) growth programs.
Primary Duties
● Coordinate research team and production to arrange time for pre-production trials
○ EHS reviews
○ Sourcing and preparing chemicals and equipment
● Source, record and maintain chemicals inventory for the research team trials.
● Troubleshoot production issues and raw material qualifications.
● Record, analysis, and report trial and membrane characterization data during
production troubleshooting and membrane trial production.
● Run production optimization programs using six-sigma and lean-manufacturing
tools
Qualifications & Experiences:
● Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or material science plus 3-5
years of industry experience.
● Knowledge of ion exchange membrane fabrication processes or equivalent on other
polymeric membranes.
● Experience with scale-up of chemical manufacturing processes are highly preferred.
● Good knowledge and experience with Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S)
practices as applied to reactive chemicals.
● Soft skills, such as problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills are
highly preferred. Must be able to maintain good communication to work with remote
and local partners.
