1Shift: First Shift (United States of America)Summary: The Biorepository and Laboratory Services Department is seeking a Research Technologist to work in the laboratory. This service supports clinical and scientific research throughout the Cancer Center; assists with processing samples and conducts laboratory procedures under the direction of a supervisor; records findings including preliminary interpretation for further review; inputs clinical and research information into the designated database system; conducts routine maintenance of equipment and machinery as needed. Candidate should have prior laboratory experience and should have at least one year of experience working with LabVantage and Laboratory Information Management Systems.The salary range is $48,515 - $61,525 which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.Qualifications:Required Education and Experience
1. Master’s degree in a clinical or scientific discipline; or
2. Bachelor’s degree in a clinical or scientific discipline and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in a laboratory setting.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will have:
5 yrs experience working in a laboratory setting
Experience processing blood and tissue products
Experience working in a team environment
Experience working with laboratory equipment
Degree in laboratory sciences or related
Experience with Labvantage and LIMS
