We are seeking a full-time Research Technician/Operations Coordinator in the cancer biology laboratory of Dr. Andrew Lane in the Department of Medical Oncology (https://lanelab.dana-farber.org/). We are looking for candidates to be part of a team performing research to understand cancer genomics, leukemia biology, and mechanisms of therapy resistance, and how these might lead to new treatments for patients.
The positions in this job family will assist scientists in performing scientific research, development and/or clinical tasks of varying complexity. In general, they will assist in the set up, operation and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment, monitoring experiments, making observations and calculating and recording results.

Responsibilities This position will assist scientists in performing research tasks of varying complexity and may be tailored to the candidate’s experience.In general, they will assist in the design and execution of experiments, operation of laboratory instruments, making scientific observations, and calculating and recording results.A portion of effort to include general lab operations.Approximately 80% bench lab duties and 20% administrative coordination.

No supervisory responsibilities. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.
