POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Research Creative Suite is a global team responsible for creating dynamic audio, video and editorial marketing assets to amplify some of the 70,000 research reports annually in equities, fixed income, cross asset strategy and economics. Our goal is to bring the content life through the power of multimedia.

The Creative Suite creates long- and short-form editorial content, podcasts, short-form audio, episodic video series, mini-series, and webcasts for both institutional and retail clients. Members of the team engage daily with various stakeholders within Research including: Editorial, Research Analysts and Strategists and Economists. The team also engages with various divisions around the firm including Wealth Management, including ETRADE, Institutional Securities and Firmwide Marketing and Corporate Communications.

We are seeking a multimedia studio production assistant to join our global team of writers, marketers, and multimedia professionals out of the New York City location. The ideal candidate should have strong abilities in production, studio lighting and video/audio editing. The candidate should also be self-motivated and bring a strong sense of personal vision along with collaborative skills. The candidate should have excellent communication skills with an awareness of financial markets. They should also demonstrate attention to detail and creative problem solving.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will possess a positive attitude and team spirit for working alongside members of the Creative Suite.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

· Work with multimedia producers to establish the desired feel and look for the video/audio project

· Gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software

· Operate computer editing systems and equipment used for video/audio media and effects

· Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the project

· Work with multimedia writers and Research teams to workshop creative approaches

· Improve video and sound quality where necessary

· Edit video/audio to include preselected music, interviews, sound clips and other important aspects of the project

· Ensure the correct formatting and presentation for finalized videos according to specifications

· Use in-house research applications (publishing platform, research portal of published content, etc.) alongside off the shelf apps (MS Office Suite, Zoom, Teams, etc.) to conduct day to day operational tasks

· Exercise strong sense of urgency and prioritization

· Use established tools to self-track task and project related metrics for monthly reporting

· Ability to multitask and work toward several milestones on various projects simultaneously

· Ability to understand the desired outcome of a project when meeting with clients and the ability to bring them to life

· Experience across Microsoft platforms, Zoom, Teams

· Ability to work independently (self-starter mentality)

· Collaborative attitude and team spirit are vital

· Strong critical thinking skills with an appetite for creative problem solving

· Comfortable working in a large organization and interfacing with a broad set of stakeholders across various functions

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $155,000 per year for Associate level at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
