Job Description

Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for a Research Scientist I to work in Mebane, NC. 

Research Scientist I responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Set-up, conduct and manage study/trial activities according to protocol, GLP/non GLP, SOP and Sponsor requirements.

· Assist the Study Director with all phases of study design, scheduling and conduct.

· Assist in writing, reviewing and editing reports, protocols and SOPs.

· Assure accurate and complete collection of study data and report timely to Sponsors.

· Maintain study data and facility records in organized manner

· Use and training of sponsor e-notebooks and other data collection hardware/software

· Participate in periodic GLP training

· Use of study management database, as required

· Supervision of field/lab staff, as assigned

· Domestic travel will be required

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would have:

· Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills

· Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

· Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

· B.S. degree in an appropriate field (e.g. agronomy, plant science, biology, environmental science, etc.).

· 1 – 3 years of experience in agricultural research development and project management, or related experience.

· Knowledge of agricultural and greenhouse practices, plant life and development, and farming operation.

· Ability to work around and with bees will be a plus

· Ability to stand, sit, bend, lift and walk for hours in the field

· Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds

· Ability to work extended hours during time critical periods

· Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
