For our department Global Research & Development we are seeking to recruit a Research Scientist Concrete Technology (f/m/d).

In this position you will be responsible for science-based research on concrete technology to develop sustainable concrete solutions. Your work will significantly contribute to innovation and advancement in the field of concrete.

You will directly report to the position Team Leader Innovative Concrete Systems. Your place of work is Leimen, Germany.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

Manage complex, multi-annual, multidisciplinary R&D projects in concrete technology, including scientific reporting

Coordinate and conduct projects in close collaboration with industrial partners and universities

Perform feasibility and business case studies on sustainable concrete products, concepts, and applications

Facilitate the implementation of sustainable concrete solutions in partnership with Heidelberg Materials' country organizations

Assist the 3D Concrete Printing team in developing application technology

Develop new test methods to support product development

Enhance group-wide knowledge management and provide training on concrete technology

Execute ad hoc special projects as requested by management

Create patents and support the patent department with expertise in concrete technology

YOUR PROFILE

Educational Background: Degree in civil engineering, chemistry, mineralogy, material science, or a related field

Professional Experience: At least 5 years in concrete technology, with a solid understanding of cement and concrete processes

Project Management: Proven skills in managing R&D projects within diverse, multidisciplinary, and multicultural teams

Scientific Communication: Strong background in scientific writing, publishing, and presenting complex results to non-expert audiences

Field Trials: Hands-on experience in organizing and conducting industrial-scale field trials

International Exposure: Experience working abroad is a plus

Travel: Open to international travel
