The Research Project Associate in the Zhang Lab is responsible for supporting research projects by conducting basic experiments, collecting and analyzing data, assisting lab mates, maintaining records, and generally contributing to the overall research process under the guidance of senior researcher.
Responsibilities include\:
Lab Work\: Assisting with Lab experiments, including sample preparation and data recording. Lab maintenance\: Assisting with general lab maintenance, including picking up packages, sorting items, cleaning lab area and equipment, and able to keep work standards in a BSL-2 lab. Animal work\: mouse colony management, genotyping and tissue collection. Data analysis\: organizing and analyzing data using frequently used software. Literature review\: Conducting thorough searches for relevant research articles and summarizing key findingsPerforms other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience\:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, biology, public health) and at least 6 months of experience.
Required Skills & Abilities\:
*Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
*Effective communication and interpersonal skills for participant interaction.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred\: Previous experience with animal work
This is a grant funded position.
