RESEARCH FELLOW Apply Now **Job Summary** The Guo lab is seeking a research fellow to work with planarians on aging, regeneration and age reversal. The lab uses genetics, genomics, cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry to understand the basic biology of aging, the regulation of regeneration and age reversal with the goal to translate basic biology to medicine. Recently, the Guo lab uncovered that older planarians are capable of reversing their age-associated physiological decline after regeneration. The research fellow is expected to lead a study from the perspective of metabolites and metabolic regulation, work together with Dr. Guo and the team to develop a new line of research in the lab focusing on metabolites and metabolic regulation, and go through datasets to identify information related to metabolites and metabolic pathways to design experiments to test their role in aging, regeneration and rejuvenation. **Mission Statement** Michigan Medicine improves the health of patients, populations and communities through excellence in education, patient care, community service, research and technology development, and through leadership activities in Michigan, nationally and internationally.
