How will you make an impact?
Our interns are matched to projects based on their abilities and current business needs. All projects will have significant strategic and/or operating importance to the business to which they are assigned.
Summer projects may include the following responsibilities:
Align with all company safety, training, and quality regulations (i.e. ISO compliance, GLP/GMP requirements, etc.) and procedures.Implement experimental plans, analyze data, and add to technical reports and product summaries.Investigate new methods/technologies and maintain accurate lab notebook to support protection of intellectual property in accordance with relevant Thermo Fisher required standards.Work with other functions including Business Development, Quality, Operations, technical Services, and/or Marketing in the commercialization of new products.Independently design experiments and conduct basic troubleshootingMaintain a clean and safe laboratoryCommunicate effectively and work efficiently with team members across R&D to support project requirementsStart Date: This internship is set to begin on either May 12th or June 16th, 2025 for a duration of 10-12 weeks – dependent upon student availability per academic calendars.
How will you get here?
Undergraduate student completing a Bachelors degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field between December 2025 and June 2026.Practical experience in the field of study is required0 years of work experience required; previous related internships preferred.Consistent track record of results demonstrating integrity, innovation, involvement, and intensity.Energized through championing change, motivated in getting results, and savvy in navigating ambiguity.Practical experience in the field of study is requiredA grade point average of 3.0 or higher in science courses is requiredIf this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you!
To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require sponsorship (current or future) for employment visa status. Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $21.00–$24.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
