Through this community of healers, scientists, and scholars, Rutgers is equipped as never before to transform lives. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Associate II for the department of Neurosurgery at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

The department of Neurosurgery is seeking a Research Associate to perform specialized research, collect data, and perform advanced statistical analysis under the direct supervision of the PI. The Research Associate will assist with the preparation of grant applications, reports and scientific manuscripts as requested, as well as with mentorship of junior lab members.

Among the key duties of this position are the following: Support PI by performing various advanced technical procedures. Keeps detailed records of the procedures to maintain compliance with local regulations. Provides the research team with organized documentation of the procedures, data, and outcomes. As directed, performs various research operations relative to ongoing investigatory activities; may assist in conducting specialized research phase of a project. Performs experiments independently or as assigned, followed by appropriate reports, recommendations, and conclusions. Participates in the development of a data collection and analysis pipeline for direct-brain recordings in neurosurgical patients, including the direct oversight of PhD students and postdocs role in the pipeline.
