Job Summary

This is a 3-Year Term-Limited (50% effort) Position 
with the Possibility of Extension Based on Future Funding

The goal of this position is to add expertise to the Trauma-Informed Programs and Practices for Schools (TIPPS) interdisciplinary team and increase capacity for statewide training of school professionals and supervision of MSW students trained on the TIPPS framework. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in trauma-informed practices and collaborative work with local schools and districts throughout Michigan. 
 

Responsibilities*Participate in team planning and development of educational materials.Assist with outreach to schools in Michigan.Provide trauma-informed training to school professionals, both in-person and online.Provide field supervision to students placed in select schools across the state.Assist with fundraising and efforts to promote and scale the TIPPS approach.Assist with other project tasks, as needed.
 Required Qualifications*Master of Social Work degreeEligibility for social work licensure in the state of MichiganExperience working in early learning,  K-12 school settings, or community-based organizations that partner with schools
 Desired Qualifications*Strong commitment to advancing trauma-informed work in schoolsStrong problem-solving abilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively and independently Self-motivated
 Modes of Work

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.

School of Social Work - Most team planning will be done remotely, although trainings may be done in-person. We prefer candidates who are comfortable working in both formats and have the ability to travel, as needed, to schools in Detroit and Ann Arbor areas.
