Description

The Semel Institute is seeking to hire a Limited full time Staff Research Associate I will work under the direct supervision of the PI and perform the following task and duties:

Perform oviposition and oviduct contraction assays in flies. Maintain accurate records of procedures used to conduct experiments and collect and record lab measurements and data. Assist other members of the lab to perform behavioral, immunohistochemistry and molecular biology experiments.  Work with Fluorescent and Confocal Microscopes to determine expression patter of transgenes used for oviduct contraction assays.  Assist PI in preparation of reports for manuscripts and grant applications. Assist in compliance of the laboratory environment with UCLA mandates and follow applicable safety policies/procedures. Other duties as assigned.  Pay Range: $ 26.52 – $31.63 hourly.  This limited position and may convert to career.
