Market and Client Insights (MCI) is a corporate function serving all Willis Towers Watson geographies, segments and corporate functions. Our mission is to provide research and insights regarding markets, clients, prospects, industries and competitors to drive revenue growth through more effective sales, marketing, and innovation.
The team provides a range of services from information access and delivery (utilizing a number of 3rd-party research subscriptions and WTW proprietary research and data) to primary and secondary research for more complex requests requiring multiple sources and potentially multiple methodologies. Key deliverables include market assessments, company and industry profiles, competitor and competitive analyses, market trend reports, and prospect lists.
The Role
Support management of data requests from Bloomberg and other subscribed sources - Serve as a Bloomberg specialist to handle requests related to extracting financial and other information from the database. Conduct market research, including identification of relevant sources of information, aggregation/synthesis of findings Demonstrate proficiency in subscriptions and effectively utilize external research sources (e.g., Hoovers, Factiva, S&P, AM Best). Oversee projects to ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards. Liaises with businesses and key stakeholders across all Willis Towers Watson geographies and businesses as appropriate. Provide training to colleagues, with a specific focus on database utilization.Research - Execute variety of insight projects, employing different research methods and synthesizing information from multiple sources as needed. Develop comprehensive reports documenting study scope, methodologies, key research findings, and data analysis. Collaborate with the entire MCI team to define, maintain, and execute research projects that align with business goals and objectives. Deliver high-quality output while meeting required timelines. Maintain working knowledge of WTW businesses, priorities, and ecosystem; connect MCI services and capabilities to key stakeholders’ business priorities.
Key Competencies
Existing knowledge of and familiarity with Bloomberg platform will be preferred. Strong research and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to analyse and visualise data to deliver compelling stories. Highly numerate and detail-oriented; capable of working quickly and independently; interpret and combine multiple data sources and research. Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders, collaborate with colleagues, and fulfil business needs Experience in a similar role, utilizing a wide range of research tools, techniques, and data sources. Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, setting clear milestones and meeting deadlines. Proficient in Excel-based analysis for projects and reports. Ability to work within a multi-location team environment. Team player capable of working in the best interests of the firm.Qualification & Experience
University degree in any stream.Good academic record with exposure to Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, or Finance preferred.About 2-3 years of business research experience in an in-house research team, Captive/KPO firm, or third-party customized research agency serving multiple clients, with experience in the B2B arena.Knowledge of the Insurance Industry and its dynamics or sectors like Oil and Gas, Construction, Aerospace, Marine, etc., or segments like Talents & Rewards, Human Capital Benefits, and Risk & Broking would be an added advantage.
