The Edelman Trust Institute is a think tank that studies and fosters trust in society. We produce global reports that document social trends in health, climate, branding technology, and other fields. We seek to understand the evolving relationships between citizens and their governments, consumers and businesses, and employees and employers. Premiering at events like Davos and Cannes, our Edelman Trust Barometer shapes the discourse in business and public policy. Produced in collaboration with the likes of Harvard Business School, Wharton, and INSEAD, our research integrates commercial insight with academic research. We’re often covered in Axios, the Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal, and other top media outlets.  We are looking for a Research Analyst who will facilitate the research process as it relates to Trust Barometer projects. There is not one phase of a project the Research Analyst will not be involved with, from questionnaire development to data collection to narrative development. The successful candidate will work with various stakeholders and vendors to ensure project needs and timelines are met. They will also collaborate with team members as well as the rest of the Edelman and Edelman DxI networks to ensure consistency and quality standards are adhered to. The right candidate will be collaborative, solutions-oriented, and possess the ability to multi-task.  Responsibilities:Work with internal and external departments to understand research objectives and execute on those objectivesField both internal and external questions or requests for data with a customer service-based approachRun and maintain large scale count and quota tracking sheetsUnderstand and implement quota groups and complex nested and census related demographic and firmographic data for sample targetingTest online surveys to ensure they are functioning as desiredAssist with the development of tab plans as well as efficient visual ways of understanding the dataCreate first drafts of project timelines to present to senior members of the team for approvalBid out projects to appropriate specs, gathering pricing information from vendors and relaying it to senior team members for planning and approvalManage all stages during the life cycle of a project, including questionnaire development, translations, fieldwork, analysis and reportingAnalyze data and communicate insights both in writing and verballyBasic Qualifications:BS/BA in market research, the social sciences, or related field2-3 years of experience in market research, consumer insights, or similar rolePreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with quantitative researchFamiliarity with other research methods (focus groups, IDIs, diary studies, social media listening, ad and product testing) is a plusHas the ability to analyze data and share or report relevant insightsStrong time management skillsExcellent communication skills with a customer service mindsetHas some experience in presenting or pitching to clients or stakeholders  Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyPossess the ability to identify gaps in processes and documentation and take the lead on updating documentationAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentExcels in highly collaborative, communication-intensive work environmentsAttention to detail is essentialExtremely organizedProficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookFamiliarity with statistical software (e.g., Q, SPSS, STATA); proficiency is a plus$42,000 - $70,000 a yearAn employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
