HOW REQUIREMENTS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Provide proactive, technical systems integration support to fast-paced operational projects. Benefit from knowledge of software development, systems and enterprise architecture, software engineering, data engineering/management, and general problem-solving skills. In addition to embodying a passion for continuous improvement and innovation, a successful candidate should demonstrate a thorough knowledge of operations and their relevant support.Analyzing user needs to determine functional requirements for an enterprise-level IT infrastructure and services project.Performing functional analysis to identify tasks and their relationships.Researching, identifying, and recommending resources required for task execution and completion.Performing functional modeling based on requirements analysis.Working with technical and operations staff to develop solutions to user requirements.Serve as technical advisor to clients in assigned subject areas, recommends functional changes, and identifies areas for further investigation.Generate recommendations in the form of technical briefings, reports, and other major documents provided to senior level client personnel.Consult with clients to determine optimum design for assigned projects.Identify emerging relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes and systems.Write and update project documentation including system procedures, presentations, and training materials.Performing technical assessments aimed at improving client systems and services delivered.Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.Coordinating, scheduling, and leading internal and external technical exchange meetings (TEMs) to clarify project requirements and resolve issues, enabling timely submission of proposals.Ensure compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards.Participate in special projects as required.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, and work/military experienceRequired Experience: 8+ yrsRequired Technical Skills:Experience with technical documentation, program related messaging and customer deliverablesExperience with customer requirements gathering and understanding of Enterprise IT Infrastructure such as Data Center Management Lifecycle; Desktop Hosting; Unified Communications; End User Device Support; Video & A/V SupportExceptional interpersonal, client-facing skillsKnowledge of AWS Cloud architecture and servicesKnowledge of Agile/Scrum software development processKnowledge of Jira (or similar) project management toolsDesired Skills:AWS Cloud Practitioner certificationKnowledge of Azure, Google and Oracle cloud service offeringsSecurity Clearance Level: TS/SCI with active polygraphLocation: Bethesda, MD - On Customer Site
