Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$63,000 - $140,800

Specific functions, duties, or tasks:

The representative- HSE- IDM assists the IDM business in the development, implementation, and maintenance of industrial safety programs and processes. The position supports internal IDM labs, administrative areas, and external contract manufacturing sites.Serve as the HSE backup for the IDM organization, which is composed of approximately 400 employees who are primarily executing duties that pertain to external manufacturing oversight  Assist with coordination & implementation of all HSE related policies, programs, and teams.Assist ,as needed, with Due Diligence and HSE assessments of contract manufacturing partners for IDM, Small and Large Molecule API network, and Drug Product External Manufacturing networks. This encompasses 75 -100 contract manufacturing partners around the globe.Internal Lilly Support and Influence:Work closely with corporate HSE (GHSE) to ensure alignment with GHSE priorities and expectations and ensure that CMs understand and comply with emerging compliance regulations (i.e., packaging, chemicals of concern, etc.)Work with Lilly Risk Management/Fire Protection to ensure a unified approach is taken with regard to risk prevention from fires etc. by sharing assessment information and FM Global reports/strategiesWork with supply chain to ensure HSE requirements are anticipated and managedCM Support and Influence:Work with each Lilly business relationship lead (Joint Process Team Leader (JPT) or Operations Associate (OA)) to ensure HSE assessments, questionnaires, and actions are tracked within existing business processesWork closely with high risk CMS to ensure Lilly’s HSE expectations are being metIdentify and implement HSE program gap closure and improvement as requested or in response to assessment findings as they relate to Lilly owned assets.Replicate and share best practices.Serve as IDM Waste BackUp RepresentativeMaintain Training to be able to review and sign manifestingReview manifests for accuracy and ensure documentation is completeEnsure required waste assessments are being conducted by WMDrive continuous improvement in IDM Site HSE programs/cultureCoordinate HSE tracking and trending data for the safe operation of the IDM siteProvide IH and Environmental support for the site.

Minimum Experience Qualification Requirements:

Prior HSE Experience (minimum 1 year) including technical knowledge in one or more key program areas (health and safety, environmental, industrial hygiene)Prior experience working at a manufacturing site.Strong organizational, communication and documentation skillsBasic understanding of IT systems and processesKnowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and systemsKnowledge of auditing/assessment programs, including previous HSE auditing experienceDemonstrated ability to work well with people and achieve results with othersCase management experience

Additional Preferences:

Experience with injection molding and/or device assembly equipmentTrackwise, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) experienceExperience utilizing Lean tools

Minimum Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, engineering, or equivalent science degree or Equivalent Experience (3-5 years minimum) in Safety Management/Environmental Services/Industrial Hygiene

Other Information (e.g., any required certifications):

Travel is required for due diligence and HSE assessments at contract partner sites. ·Travel timing can be scheduled and managed but will range from 15-25% domestic and globalTasks require entering manufacturing and laboratory areas which require wearing appropriate PPE.
