ROLE:  FOX 5 San Diego/KUSI News duopoly is seeking a Weekday Reporter/Weekend Weather Anchor to support our top-rated newscasts committed to serving the San Diego community.  Successful candidate excels in ad-libbing, storytelling on all platforms, connecting with viewers, can receive feedback and models professionalism on and off the air.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accurate reporting of news storiesAttend editorial meetings and regularly pitch original story ideasDevelops community contacts and a network of news sourcesMust be able to ad-lib live breaking news by telling a compelling story with a strong ability to interact with anchors in studioWorks with the photographer in the development of a storyRegularly updates newsroom on story elements and progressUse social media to update news and weather stories to the publicAttend station partnerships in the communityProduce and anchor weather, traffic segments for weekend newscasts and fill-in during the week as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Must have undergraduate degree or equivalent related experiencePrefer 3-5 years TV news reporting and weather anchor experience in a medium to large market
