Job Title: Repair Technician I

Location: Alpharetta, GA

POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Primary role of position is to repair, refurbish, stage, de-stage, and/or configure a wide variety of components or subassemblies with minimum technical assistanceRole responsible for ensuring smooth flow of production using a high degree of organization, expertise, and problem solving skillsRequired to produce a high quality, cost effective product that meets or exceeds customer expectationsRequired to repair systems, modules, and assemblies using an LRPFocus on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of repair center processesFunction as part of a team that provides repair and diagnostic solutionsComply with Depot Center policies, ESD requirements, process and workmanship standardsEfficiently use skills, tools, diagnostic and test equipment to perform rework or repair proceduresPrepare estimates of time and material required to refurbish, reconfigure, rework or repair assemblies, subassemblies and equipmentDetermine testing requirements and assist in developing a Local Repair Procedures (LRPs) on equipment for which Standard Repair Procedures have not been writtenAcquire additional training when necessary to meet changing business requirementsPerform periodic preventive maintenance and make necessary repairs on test fixturesInspects product based on quality checklist; notifies supervisor of any discrepancies; Records inventory transactionsMakes routine adjustments to work area machines or systems

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent 0-1 years of related experienceExcellent written and oral communication skillsDemonstrates the ability to understand the fundamental principles and elements of problem solving techniques and with guidance can follow set procedures and guidelines established by the company for problem solvingAbility to use appropriate tools and forms, collect necessary data, and can identify problems and determine efficient and effective solutionsDemonstrates the ability to understand the basic fundamentals of, and the need for, a quality effort in all tasks undertakenDemonstrates the ability to gather data for examination in a pre-determined format following specified steps or directions
