The role
As a Repair Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary, using your supply chain and technical knowledge to ensure the delivery of the contract service.
Day-to-day, you’ll be managing the repair of large assets for the MOD, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You'll also be the key point of contact with external suppliers to facilitate the repair of critical components like electrical boxes, engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and fire suppression systems.
Oversee the repair of designated assemblies, ensuring each project is completed on time and within budget Establish and manage both current and future global workloads, allocate tasks for the in-year load, monitor progress, and take necessary actions to ensure successful completion in line with the customer's requirements Ensure all work meets the required quality standards, is economical, and aligns with programmes, repair orders, contracts, and financial guidelines Initiate and evaluate contracts, manage them to completion, and ensure timely delivery, quality, and value for money while maintaining strict control over allocated funds Liaise with Project Teams to ensure compliance with repair policies, service level agreements, and any special customer requirements, including identifying funding needs
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Repair Manager
Proven track record of working in environments with a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional service to customers Demonstrated ability to ensure work meets high-quality standards in an economical and efficient manner Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective collaboration Solid technical background, providing a strong foundation for understanding and managing repairs Experience in the automotive industry, bringing valuable insights and expertise to the role
Qualifications for the Repair Manager
Minimum of an ONC or equivalent SNCO forces background in an Engineering discipline

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
