About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Environmental Investment Originator to join our Renewable Energy & Environmental Finance team. Learn more about our career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com.


In this role, you will:

Manage aspects of the financial, commercial, and technical analysis and underwriting of highly structured, tax-oriented equity investments in renewable energy and other clean technology projects

Assist in facilitation of tax credit sales from renewable energy and other clean technology projects and manufacturing facilities

Complete work in accordance with all risk management, compliance and business process expectations

Produce various written documents, including origination requests and investment memoranda

Review financial, commercial, and technical due diligence as assigned

Conduct technical due diligence and portfolio administration as necessary, and provide in depth analysis on relevant industry trends in the renewable energy and other clean technology spaces

Identify, analyze, structure, and model renewable energy project tax equity financings, in conjunction with the senior team

Manage the process for internal approval of transactions, including credit analysis, underwriting, legal, accounting, regulatory, and tax matters

Interact with internal business partners with relationships in the renewable energy and clean technology sectors


Required Qualifications:

4+ years of professional work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

4+ years of experience in renewable energy or financial services

Financial Modeling experience

Financial Analysis experience

Advanced in Microsoft Office Suite- Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Business or related field

Project finance experience

Passion for renewable energy as demonstrated either through education or work experience

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and organization, and ability to solve complex or abstract problems


Job Expectations:

Hybrid work model, 4 days in the office and 1 day remote

10% travel

Salary:

San Francisco, CA salary ranges are $133,300-$237,100 Annual

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
