SUMMARY

 

Bering Professional Services, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified  Remedy Developer Administrator to work with our government client, in Boyers, PA. The Remedy Developer Administrator is responsible to develop and support of the customer's BMC Remedy environment. The ideal candidate will be a senior member of the Remedy team, who is responsible for the support, maintenance and development of the multiple integrated BMC products. The current BMC Remedy platform is the BMC IT Service Management Suite (ITSM) v.7.6. The development environment includes formal project management and development methodology, with planned phases and timeframes for customer requirements gathering and analysis, development of customizations and product configuration, testing the delivered product, defect resolution, promotion to production and end-user training.

The Remedy staff is tasked with developing the policies and processes to ensure that the proposed Service Level Agreements i.e. 98% Remedy availability (Developer, DBA) are met and that changes are completed within all agreed upon timelines.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain BMC Remedy Action Request System (ARS)Manage BMC Remedy IT Service Management Suite (ITSM), including:Incident ManagementChange ManagementAsset ManagementService Level ManagementManage BMC Atrium CMDBManage BMC Remedy ITSM and/or BMC Atrium CMDB integration with 3rd party SQL-based applicationsManage BMC Remedy ITSM and/or BMC Atrium CMDB integration with 3rd party applications via email engineCustomize BMC Remedy Workflows, Forms, Reports, Filters to meet specified requirementsConfigure Support Groups, Users, CIs, Foundation dataManage application of BMC Server product Patches, Hotfixes, Product UpgradesManage Customer Requirements Analysis and Solution DeterminationWork with a formal development methodology encompassing scheduled product upgrade releases and current version maintenance releases within a planned project frameworkWork within a formal development environment, including the promotion of customizations from the development environment to the testing environment and then to the production environment

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily in a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
