Reliability Technician II

This position is for a Reliability Technician to perform product testing, lab development and maintenance in an electronics / software / mechanical environment for Reliability Engineering.

Purpose of Position

\n

This position is for a Reliability Technician to perform product testing, lab development, and maintenance in an electronics / software / mechanical / hydraulics environment for Reliability Engineering.

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

             Team Leadership 

\n\nContribute in a positive manner that aligns with team goals and objectives.\nWork in a strong team environment with willingness to learn, collaborate, and mentor associates.\nSupport department EH&S and 5S housekeeping initiatives.\nPerform maintenance and continuous development of the Reliability Labs.\nDrive increase in product reliability and reduction in warranty costs.\n\n

\n

Execute Lab Work Requests 

\n\nPerform set-up, component/assembly testing and reporting of test results for the Reliability Labs as requested by team lead and lab manager.\nApply scientific methodology and analytical skills to test performance with high work standards.\nSupport coworkers in test setup and execution to ensure strong test performance and maintain project schedules.\nProvide feedback with a sense of urgency as questions and concerns arise during all phases of test development and testing.\nProvide input and feedback for process and test improvement.\n\n

Support Department Development and Sustainment

\n\nParticipate in and support development of test methods and sustainment.\nUtilize best practices and application of design for reliability methods for test automation and repeatability.\nLearn and apply Vontier Business System (VBS) tools to provide overall department growth and continuous improvement.\nSupport department EH&S and ensure adherence to environmental, health and safety policies, protocols and regulatory compliance in conformance with ISO 45001 and 14001.\n\n


Background and Skill

\n\nMinimum associate degree with strong technical background in electronics and test fixturing abilities.\n3-5 years related experience preferred with test setup, testing, validation and reporting methodologies. \nExperience with industrial products and testing.\nMust be able to read and understand written instructions.\nGood hands-on skills with mechanical / electrical aptitude. \nAbility to program PLCs, NI LabView, and other DAQ devices a plus.\nAbility to understand and apply a variety of electronic and mechanical instruments.\nGood, independent writing skills using Word and Excel with ability to author a multipage report.\n
