We seek a dedicated and collaborative individual to join our Reliability Lab team, where teamwork and safety are at the forefront of our operations. As a key contributor, you will play an essential role in aligning with team goals and objectives while prioritizing safety in all lab test development and execution. Your willingness to learn and collaborate with the reliability department will foster a strong team environment, supporting essential EH&S and 5S housekeeping responsibilities. You will be instrumental in performing equipment maintenance, enhancing product reliability and quality, and mentoring junior technicians in laboratory procedures. By participating in continuous improvement initiatives, you will help drive efficiencies in testing processes, ultimately contributing to our commitment to excellence in reliability development and sustainment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

\n\nContribute in a positive manner that aligns with team goals and objectives.\nKeep Safety as a priority in all lab test development and execution.\nWork in a strong team environment with willingness to learn and collaborate with reliability department team members.\nSupport reliability department EH&S and 5S housekeeping responsibilities.\nPerform equipment maintenance and continuous development of the Reliability Lab.\nDrive an increase in product reliability and quality, leading towards improvement in warranty.\nSupport the training and mentoring of junior technicians in laboratory procedures and best practices.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and lab efficiency.\n\n

Execute Lab Testing

\n

\n\nPerform test set-up, component, assembly, and system-level testing and reporting of test results for the Reliability Labs as requested by the Lab Supervisor and Reliability management.\nApply scientific methodology and analytical skills to test product function and performance with high work standards.\nSupport coworkers in test setup and execution to ensure strong test performance within planned lab schedules.\nProvide timely feedback to test stakeholders and lab management when questions and concerns arise during all phases of test development and execution.\nProvide input and feedback for lab process and test improvement.\n\n

Contribute to Reliability Development and Sustainment 

\n

\n\nParticipate in and support development of test methods and sustainment.\nUtilize best practices and application of design for reliability methods for test automation and repeatability.\nLearn and apply Vontier Business System (VBS) tools to provide overall department growth and continuous improvement.  Key tools include Daily management, 5S, and VSM.\nSupport department EH&S and ensure adherence to environmental, health and safety policies, protocols, and regulatory compliance in conformance with ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001.\n

WHO YOU ARE 

\n\nAssociate degree or equivalent experience with a strong technical background in product testing, development, and a lab environment.\n3-5 years related experience preferred with test setup, test fixture design and construction, testing, and data reporting methodologies. \nExperience with industrial products and testing.\nMust be able to read and understand written instructions.\nGood hands-on skills with mechanical/electrical aptitude.\nAbility to write lab test reports and document lab test procedures. \nAbility to program PLCs, NI LabView, and other DAQ devices is preferred.\nAbility to understand and apply a variety of electronic and mechanical instruments.\nGood, independent writing skills using Word and Excel with the ability to author a multipage report.\nAbility to engage and work well with others.\n Integrity and a willingness to do what it takes attitude.\nPunctual, professional appearance and demeanor.\nDrive to achieve and complete assignments promptly.\nMeticulous with good organizational skills.\n
